Cartman

The traditional B family tree topper is Cartman, though his outing this year was shorter than usual. We had a real tree this year and wanted to put it outside before we left, so this was taken just before stripping the tree and closing up the house.

Earlier, some final bits of work for me (so much for my week off) while the rabbits were taken to their holiday home. Then pancakes and opening the presents we weren't taking to the UK.

The trip through the airport was fairly trouble-free, and we picked up our car in Corstorphine. The journey south was rather traumatic when we realised that the headlights on the car were dangerously dim. The alternating rain and fog didn't help, and at Biggar we gave up and found a hotel for the night.

Dinner ended up being bought from the excellently stocked Post office, as everything else was shut. Not the planned start to the trip, but always best to be adaptable (and safe).
