Sally Mair - Loving life

Amber

Monday today and the first of two days of public holiday and also the first of the new covid regime in Scotland. My niece and great niece left to visit family in Glasgow. Leaving Joyce as our only house guest. Katy and family travel home tomorrow and then we have a whole new pile of Christmas gifts to look forward to opening!
This morning we popped into M&S to pick up a couple of things then when we got back I went into the kitchen.
I've made a big pot of Boxing Day soup. It used left over sprouts, carrots and parsnips as well as potato, onion, celery and some curry paste. Delicious!
My blip is of a silver and I hope, amber, pendant which I picked up recently. I find it very pleasing.

I looked back at my December 2019 journal, when I felt so ill and spent most of Christmas in bed which was the last time my niece was here. I recorded over the week between Christmas and New Year, - headache , bad cough, loss of sense of taste, tiredness. They all sound so classic now that I look back.
Keep safe and keep everyone else safe too, I do fear that things are about to blow.
