Quod oculus meus videt

Field Boundary

We went up to the stables this afternoon to exercise Meg.  I walked with L as Meg had been quite difficult at certain points along the track, particularly when riding along the edge of this field.  We wanted to see if my presence walking alongside, kept her calmer.

She was still up on her toes, but it was not as bad, save for a pheasant that broke cover just passed this tree, which caused Meg to go sideways before settling down.

Afterwards we were invited to friends for dinner.  How we manage to get 10 people around the table was a lesson in precision engineering, but it was lovely to spend time with the family and we had a great night playing games and chatting.

L got the chance to talk to her mother this afternoon, but she is still somewhat confused.  Hearing L's voice seemed to calm her and she was able to reassure her mother that she was in good hands at the hospital.
