Aylesbury Cemetery Chapels

I visited the cemetery today on the way to Tesco, though it was difficult to access as Tring Road was closed due to road works.

I had a good wander around and yet again it is icey cold today so I probably won't do too much gardening later on. Unsurprisingly it is very quiet here.

The cemetery has been here since 1858 when St Mary's Churchyard became a bit overcrowded. The 12 acre site contains more than 10,000 monuments & substantially more burials.

I've always enjoyed looking around churchyards & cemeteries & this one is particularly interesting as it is close to where I live & is probably where I will end up !

It is icey cold today with a strong biting wind & scattered sleet showers.

Its 3pm & Merlot is fast asleep in his bed..................................................zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
