Snow Ride!

Yes, it is starting to feel like spring around the edges, but there is still a bit of snow left here and there. So the crittergator crew went out on what was billed as one last snow adventure!

The conditions were not ideal for skiing, alas. The snow was a bit melty and grainy. However, our intrepid gang found some ways to have fun in the snow anyway, taking turns riding their cool new Hot Wheels* Snow Ride snowmobile around and around!

this is how married people discuss things . . . I think

Husband: What is that?
Me: It's a new Hot Wheels!
Husband: Hot Wheels!??? You're 48 years OLD!!
Me *defensively*: Well, it was pretty inexpensive . . . just a dollar. They were on sale for Easter.
Husband: Hot Wheels were only a dollar when they first came out 40 years ago!
Me: Yes, and with inflation and all, by now it should probably have cost FIVE dollars! What a bargain!
Husband: Still, I can't believe you're 48 years old - and still BUYING YOURSELF Hot Wheels!
Me *more defensively*: It WASN'T for me.
Husband *suspiciously*: Well, who is it FOR then?
Me: It's for my little dudes. You know, the little green dudes. And the red ones. For them to ride around the yard in the snow. While I take pictures.
Husband: *raises eyebrow, looks disapproving, shakes head, starts to say something but just sputters; finally, gives up and leaves room, mumbling to self*
