Maidstone Model Engineering Club

The traditional Boxing Day event held in Mote Park took place today in very unpleasant conditions with constant rain for most of the day.

That didn’t detract too many as there were plenty lining up for a ride despite the conditions. These marvellous locomotives are always a joy to see whatever the weather.

A second relaxing day, although Susan went to see her mum this afternoon. I had FaceTime with Chris and Landon in a sunny California. I was amazed by Landon’s dexterity in assembling the Super Mario and Luigi Lego sets. He’s only 4 and his manipulative skills and ability to put together tiny components was a surprise.

A quiet evening watching TV, catching up on recorded programmes on the box. This evening it was the last episode of the Simon Reeves series on the Lake District. What an excellent series that has been. We’re now watching one of the Larkins series. We’re way behind.
