A Christmas present!
Progress with the camera. It's not the SD card - swapped to a different one and same error. Swapped the lens and it works! So it's the lens that's broken ... sad times :o(
At least it's not the camera itself! And it's only my nifty fifty and not my 200mm f/2.8!!
