Christmas reading

After Christmas we both have any number of new books to read. Yet here we are in the old Penguins. This one was written by a pair of exquisitely mad writers, strongly recommended. Take the opening sentence ...

"Since it is probable that any book flying a bullet in its title is going to produce a corpse sooner or later - here it is."

In the 60s I lived (through friends who were dancers) on the extreme periphery of the ballet world and trust me, everything in this story about the barmy Ballet Stroganoff rings true. Now I have other books in the series to find.

Now it's time for me to recommend Abebooks.
