Fly By

A Boxing Day (the day after Christmas) treat - we were joined by Incredibish, Happy_Janwen and Smiley_Charlie for a delightful walk in the sunshine, followed by a return to our place to help us eat up the left over turkey, sausages, stuffing, roast potatoes, parsnips etc (you get the idea).

We saw a buzzard (twice) that delighted in flying just out of range, and then waiting until we had walked past.  There were also a pair of kestrels determinedly roosting on overhead cables rather than making themselves useful within camera shot.

So instead, here is a pied wagtail in flight - I think that this might have been the female.

Guests now gone and the clearing up all done, Cathy and I are about to sit down and enjoy a well deserved rest in front of the TV - I will catch up with blip but it may well be tomorrow - I hope you will forgive me, but there's been a lot of hosting going on at Chez Sheol for the last 48 hours.
