Wet and miserable day

Went to the shop first thing for hubbys newspaper.
Then back out for the 8:30 Church service I haven't been since Covid.
I had a phone call to say it was my turn to read.
Normally I like to collect a sheet beforehand to practise the 'big' words.
Today it was 'ephod ' I was unsure of but nobody was going to argue.THEN I stepped down from the pulpit before realising I had 2 pieces to read.
Back up I went !!!
There was only about 8 in the congregation at that service so I was safe.:( 
I met the new Vicar for the first time and apologised but she was lovely and said it was fine.
I poured a sherry when I got home ;) Communion wine isn't available at the moment ;););)
I am doing nothing more.Enjoy your day everyone x
