Willy Wagtail Sheltering

This poor little bird has recently taken to visiting us on the rooftop garden each day and sitting on the bushes or plants. Over the last few days with this shocking heat he has just been gasping on the ground. I’ve put out a couple of big flat bowls of water and I saw him splashing in one today which made me happy to see. There were some doves trying to muscle in but this feisty little willy wagtail managed to pull himself together to send them on their way!

Another quiet day, not much you can do when it hits 44c ugh!!
