Christmas Stockings

I wondered this morning at what stage all 4 will stop piling into our bed on Christmas morning to open their stockings. I love it but am very aware that each year could be the last and therefore I should enjoy it and not get irritated by their petty squabbling about who has the most space/kicked who/is going where!

Father Christmas had visited - which is a relief as their Christmas present from us was the not happening ski trip. Again, all seemed very happy with their gifts from both FC and family.

I cooked the ‘Eggs Benny’ breakfast as requested. Almost a disaster but better than no breakfast. There’s a reason some things are delegated to MrRoly….

Christmas Dinner in a box from my friend’s deli was a huge hit. Especially the potatoes dauphinois - they all turned their noses up initially but then tasted it!! 2 ovens made it all a doddle and so much space :-D

The evening mostly consisted of napping through telly, Lego building and booze. Plus a huge amount of chocolates. A very relaxed and laid back day. It was so good I could do it all again next year!!
