Boxing Day has been quiet and relaxing after yesterday’s enjoyable, but busy Christmas Day.

Covid update
There was no reporting on Christmas Day so the following figures are for two days
126 new community cases - 88 Auckland, 17 Waikato, 1 Northland, 6 Bay of Plenty, 13 Lakes, 
1 Taranaki
47 in hospital, with 7 in intensive care
Omicron - 7 new cases at the border which takes the total of this variant to 47.
