Happy Christmas!

To everyone here on Blip!

We left here at 7am and made the journey to Finchley in just over an hour. A record! Very little traffic as we drove into the dawn on this Christmas Day.
We stayed outside on the patio and the family inside, all wearing masks. We exchanged gifts and enjoyed a coffee before heading home again. An equally good journey. So good to see them even if too briefly. We can reschedule another day together!

We got to the family service and Ian was on top form. His visual aid was a roll of sellotape and a dispenser. An essential for gift wrapping keeping the paper together. This last year has been one in which, at times, we have needed holding together. I thank God that he does that for me.

So we’ve had a very quiet Christmas Day! Lazy too which has been wonderful. WhatsApp messages and phone calls from other family members with greetings and news that they’re all having a happy day in different places.

Some preparation for tomorrow when my friend Iris will join us.
