Clear Southern Skies
After an impromptu meal out, it was lovely to return home to the valley to be greeted by dark skies, even if it was before 9pm.
Here's the view looking south over our native plantings. The trees are illuminated by 2 seconds worth of LED light from a head torch during the start of the 30" exposure. Next time I might go a little longer with the exposure to give the stars even more chance to pop!
I'm pleased with my first low light/long exposure foray with the new kit. I was worried about setting infinity on the new lens without a hard infinity stop, but luckily getting focus wasn't too bad. The wideness of the lens certainly helps... as does that amazing sensor!
