Vow

I vowed that today of all days I would give my neighbours some respite from the whine of spinning turbo on the drying green out back. I would either go out for a ride on the road for the first time in weeks or I would simply have a day off the bike altogether.

Well, the weather was decent so I got togged up and made my long-awaited (for me at least) return to the road. Nowt big or clever, a local ride for local people.

Elsewhere the obligatory presents, food, technically-troubled Zoom call to parents, the usual. The washing up of the dishes was all done with a favourite piece of vinyl from this year playing on the stereo.
