A sweet relaxing day

After a gentle morning at home, beginning before breakfast picking an overflowing trug full of butter beans, enjoying video calls from my daughters and telephone chat with my son, I gathered these hydrangeas that I’d picked from the garden on Christmas Eve, Dr D lifted the pink champagne from the fridge and we headed off to his son and family across town for a very relaxed bbq evening. A sweet unfussy Christmas Day.
