Days of Thankfulness

By kirstysee

I am thankful for marriage.
4 years of wedded life with my man.

It seems like only yesterday that my man and I walked down the 'aisle' together in a garden outside of Melbourne. It was such a magical day as we declared our love in front of our community. He looked so handsome (still does) and I felt beautiful in my green dress and cream headress (white doesn't suit me).

Our wedding was simple but special - no wedding cars (we got ready on site), no professional photographer (but plenty of people with cameras), no bridesmaids or groomsmen (but people had special roles), no fancy decorations (but simple orchids and white table cloths). It was a party I hope to remember for the rest of my life.

I respect people who choose not to marry but I treasure the day I became a Mrs.

I just wish that all people had a right and opportunity to marry in the eyes of the law and state.
