Autumn

Today felt like autumn, less warmth and more of the edge of coldness towards which our weather is slipping.

It's a lovely time of year but then I can say that about any time of the year. This tree is near to home. I notice it more because I blip. Some years it's a flame of red and and orange, other years it quietly slips from green to brown with with only a hint of red. This year it's the latter.

One of my neighbours died in the small hours of this morning. She had lived with multiple sclerosis for 40 years. Her suffering is over. I feel grateful for the life I have.
