Christmas eve

What an odd day today! Paul, Adam and Tomoko took lateral flow tests this morning as they were due to visit their dad this afternoon. Unfortunately, Paul’s was positive so we all went for a PCR test this afternoon and are now waiting for the results. In the meantime, Paul wanted to isolate from us as best he could so has spent the majority of the time in his bedroom, chatting to us via FaceTime. So it’s a bit like last year, when Adam was on FaceTime from London, except that Paul is just up the stairs. Very odd. Hopefully the weather will allow us to spend some time in the garden together tomorrow but the forecast is looking a bit drizzly. I suspect we’ll delay Christmas dinner by a day in the hope that the tests all come back negative and we can then eat together. It’s going to be an odd Christmas, but I’m sure lots of people will be having odd Christmases again this year.
