Cat Tracks in the Snow

Early this morning I went out on our front porch, which turns a corner to these steps from our driveway.  I had in mind taking more or less this shot.  While I was composing it a black cat crossed in front, adding her tracks to the image.  So much the better, I thought  :)

This evening on PBS we enjoyed an impressive two-hour choral program of holiday music from Salt Lake City by the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square. Very lovely, and utterly appropriate for the evening.

(I have no ideal whether the cat is male or female--we see her occasionally in the neighborhood.)
