Lost

A trip to Glasgow was sandwiched between two lengthy spells being passed around the BT global empire before finally someone twigged that the reason we couldn't get access to the internet was not down to our wi-fi router but the fact that the entire area had suffered an "outage". This was confirmed when me and Mrs S popped over to the local to find that their phones and wi-fi access were down too. Why it took over an hour on my mobile phone to get that info and the same for Mrs S is a mystery.

In the way that these things seem to happen, the oven has packed in too, as has the dishwasher and the remote control for the TV. And now my laptop screen will only run in power saving low light mode. I can sense an expensive few weeks coming up.
