An emergency blip at 10.30pm

A busy day dogs walked, last minute bits from local coop. Prepared tonights hot pot. Baked mince pies. Had lunch. Did lots of little jobs. Kirsty came up and we exchanged pressies and bless her she had a lateral flow test before she came just to be sure she wouldn't be infecting us with anything. We drank tea and ate some mince pies. After she had gone i finished the trifle. We had tea. Then i sat and relaxed reading my book. Watched University Challenge and All Creatures Great and Small.

There will just be us over Christmas but that doesn't matter because there are so many people who over the last 2 years have lost loved ones, there are so many who will spend it alone, some sleeping on the streets, people in other countries picking up the pieces after their homes have been destroyed by hurricanes or fires or war. Those who are having to rely on food banks to help them.
So I will be just happy that my family are safe even if they are not with me.
