Life through the lens...

By ValC

Peace, Love, and Joy.

This card was made by my sister, who gave us a bit of a shock yesterday as she spent the morning in BRI Hospital Bradford.
However was discharged at lunch time. ( one of only two people on the ward)
and I am pleased to say today she is much better.

The following is a poem she printed inside the card which I would like to share with you all this Christmas Eve.

“ The wilderness shall rejoice,
And the wintry waste shall sing,
At the wakening herald voice
Of the coming of the King.
So, the sparkling Christmas snow
Is dearer than summer light,
For He whom we love came down below
In the hush of a Christmas night.

May your Christmas morning break
Holy and bright and calm,
And may all your life, for his dear sake,
Be a joyful Christmas psalm!”

The poem was written by Francis Ridley Havergal. She was an English religious poet and hymn writer. Born in 1836 and died in 1879.
Probably her best known hymn was,
“ Take my life and let it be.”

So I wish you all Happiness and Joy this Christmas Eve.

We are looking forward to seeing All Creatures Great and Small, Christmas Special tonight.
