Crumbs!

Crumbs are all that’s left of the scrummy afternoon tea we enjoyed at our local farm shop this afternoon.
We thought young HK guest needed to experience a traditional English afternoon tea.

He loves chess so this evening he gave me a lesson in how to play. He’s only 15 but a good teacher. He’s a bright boy.

Earlier in the day, hubby and I went to Sainsbury’s at 8am.
As we pulled into a parking space we had a phone call to say our elder son-in-law had just tested positive on a lateral flow.

Very sad for them they can’t join us on Boxing Day as planned. We were so looking forward to seeing them and we’ll especially miss seeing gorgeous grandson.

So for the second year in a row, hubby headed off with the car to do a present drop off.
At least he was full of afternoon tea and not peckish on the way!
