White faced heron

I was sitting having a morning cuppa when there was a great carry on in the macrocarpa tree.  One heron parent landed and headed into the nest in the middle of the tree, then the other parent came out for a break.  S/He had a great preen and groom then headed off for its turn at freedom from parenting!
