Ready for the Celebration to Begin
Sunny with a high of 40 deg F. not that I looked outside much today. We got up at 6:30 and we haven’t stopped except to eat our meals. We quit at 10 pm. One thing I always plan on is for the plan to change. My youngest daughter sat in an urgent care facility for over four hours to learn that rather than COVID, she has the same upper respiratory infection we had earlier this month. She waited too long to get her meds and the infection has really settled in her chest. So, rather than take a chance, they will not be here tomorrow. They will leave early and head to NYC hopefully in time to Skype with us during part of our celebration. Sky turns 17 tomorrow and this will be the second year we haven’t celebrated her birthday here, 2020 being the first. Brooklyn will blow out the candles on the cake and we’ll sing to Sky long distance. As you can see, we will have a crowd, but only 15 of the 24 who have gifts under our tree. Our oldest granddaughter and her family will be celebrating with her Mom. Once my children and sister bring their gifts, it gets crazy here and lasts hours. We may watch a streamed Mass. Our county had 200 new COVID cases today. Hubby was such a big help today. He’d rest the leg when needed but I couldn’t have finished all my jobs without him. Hope you had a quieter day. It’s time for bed in this home. Thanks for visiting. Be safe. “Some Christmas tree ornaments do more than glitter and glow, they represent a gift of love given a long time ago”. - Tom Baker
