Rural East Otago

Came down to my sons at Palmerston for the next few days. This is the view from their living room window. The dark face used to be all in trees but they now have been milled and you get this glorious unending view right out to the Kakanui Mountains . They are often covered in snow in winter. Shame about the power lies.
