Two Milestones

After the mist and rain cleared this afternoon we saw some Winter sunshine. Each year I aim to walk 1,000 miles. Only distances of a complete mile or more in one walk are counted against the target. This morning my total was 999, so today's walk on the common took me to 1,003. When I set out the mist was so thick it was easy to become disorientated and lost. When it cleared everthing looked crisp and new in the bright sun. I found a fallen tree to sit on and enjoyed a hot coffee and sausage rolls in the warm sunshine.  This shot shows the view towards Dartmoor taken a few minutes later. Where I sat I could see Kit Hill in Cornwall. A great little walk on another Birthday! Two more milestones passed!
