There be faeries?

Bean and I walked in Herbert Forest this morning. There are hundreds of these fungi all through the pine forest, giving a wonderful splash of colour in what is otherwise quite a brown forest sub-storey.

The non-fungi extra was our next destination at Moeraki, where the wind was blowing up impressive waves. It was a beautiful, if chilly, location for a picnic.
