dreaming of sunshine and warmth

Wander into town to sort some festive food shopping and get son #2 his second jag. The latter mission failed again. This time he is too young and his age group is not a priority at this this stage. This is understandable but I would have liked to have found that out before having queued for 2 hours. Ah well, overwise a suitably dreich December day. This memorial in the Grange Cemetery is quite fascinating. Although I can't help thinking of the  colonial privilege that it displays. I would love to visit Egypt at some stage.

Update: very interesting link about the tomb and another link to information on William Stuart. It appears he was a fashionable industrialist.
