Mini Mince Pies

Personally, I find mince pies disappointing.

1: they’re apparently “not for dogs”.
2: the English say they’re filled with ‘mincemeat’ but there’s actually no meat in them.

I do like Xmas in general though. Poultry, fish and meat feature heavily AND their ‘leftovers’ are usually on the ‘good to go’ list for dogs.

On the other hand, I hate dressing up .
The neighbour’s dog was out the front in a Santa coat yesterday, looking like an idiot. It’s disrespectful of dogs! I still shudder when I recall the antler-wearing fiasco of 2019!

It’s a time of mixed blessings!

Interesting Enzo fact:
When I renewed my canine travel journalist contract in 2020, I insisted on including a ‘no Xmas antlers’ clause! I haven’t had to wear them since. It was a great day for dogkind!

I call it the ‘Santa clause’.
