Did you know…
…dinosaurs can climb trees? It’s true! We have two in our Christmas tree. If you don’t believe me, look closely and you will see them. They’re a special kind of dinosaur because they only visit once per year and they’re nocturnal. During the day they hide in the tree but once the lights are turned off and we retire for bed, we can hear them moving around downstairs. The cats don’t seem to mind them or at least they haven’t mentioned it. In the morning when I come down to make coffee and feed the cats, the dinosaurs have returned to the safety of their Christmas tree. Remarkably nothing is ever out of place, missing, or eaten. They’re excellent houseguests! Tradition is they will remain with us through New Year’s but we know we’ll see them again this time next year when their favorite evergreen is back on display • It’s been a frightful weather day. Ice and freezing rain until finally warming to 32F early this afternoon. In pouring rain I chopped ice and cleared the car before nightfall comes and temps drop below freezing again. Tomorrow morning should be interesting • In case you’re wondering, our two Greats made the wooden dinos for us last year for Christmas. They’re our only and favorite ornaments in the tree :)
