Garden Jay

With rain forecast by lunchtime I opted to spend a couple of hours in the garden - most probably my last this year. 
I cut back a few hardy geraniums, swept the whole patio and then spent ages raking up and collecting the leaves on the lawn. By the time the rain came I was ready for a rest. 
This afternoon I have been watching the birds for a while, hoping for something unusual to drop in, but it was not to be today. The usual finches, tits and blackbirds make up the bulk of our visitors with the odd Robin and of course our beautiful Jays.
