Make It Stop ...

Poor Mabel.  This morning we had a test of our building's fire alarm system, which involved audible "tones" (or what I would more accurately describe as ear-splitting shrieks) and loud announcements which were repeated seemingly endlessly before their final, happy conclusion. 

Needless to say, Mabel was scared to death.  She spent most of the ordeal safely in Mr. W's comforting arms, and now that it's finally quiet once more, she's starting to relax.
