Brigels Village
Following a long leisurely breakfast at the friends apartment, we went for a good walk around the village. It was another stunning morning, not too cold, but still plenty of snow. We headed back home, going straight around to see my father in law, who is struggling to breathe. He is 92, and has a problem with his heart, it sounded really bad, when Mr S sister rang, but he’d improved when we got there, and wanted to know all about the skiing we’d been doing over the last few years.
In the evening we had 2 of the kids cousins around for a first mini Christmas get together. Sandra works on the COVID ward and is totally dismayed at the lack of vaccine take up in our area. 85% of all people on the ward are unvaccinated and over 90% in ICU. She would love to go back and work on her normal ward, and help the elderly genuinely in need, but can’t. We had a lovely roast beef and Yorkshire pudding dinner, and the girls brought chocolate mousse. It was a lovely evening together.
