Learning day by day

St. Paul's

A fantastic day out in London Village with my girl. First of all it was to the Peacock Theatre to watch 'My First Cinderella' ballet thanks to the money given to Carys by a family friend. As predicted C absolutely loved it, sitting stock still and wide eyed the whole time. The whole conversation afterwards was about how good the dancers were and more interestingly why the 'boys' only wore tops and tights! She has seen the teenage boys dance from her school but maybe their attire wasn't as obvious!

After a lovely lunch at Belgo, we headed East to Monument and up we went. C did the fire of London in the Autumn term and she has been desperate to go ever since. 311 steps later found Mummy clinging to the railing (I don't like heights) although I soon realised as long as I didn't look down I was fine. After we staggered down and C got her certificate we wandered along some little lanes so C could explain how close the houses were in 1666 and I explained about what was thrown out of the windows into the streets. This both fascinated and appalled her at the same time, which was quite funny.

A bus ride to Covent Garden then a little wander before it was back to KC and home.

Much as I love my boychild, he has been giving his sister a hard time of late. She is very patient with him most of the time, but it was lovely to have some one to one girl time today.
