happy place

This is Glossop’s Victorian baths. In 2021 it has become a happy place because, after years of being vaguely terrified, I finally took swimming lessons and learnt to dip my face in and feel a bit like a mermaid. Ant and I went for a late morning lane swim and it was nice to wave at him under the water. This time last year he encouraged me to go for a swim and I was in the slow lane, genuinely holding up some very old swimmers.
