Nature Diary... A Busy Day For Some!, Nature,

A mild day but with a strong wind playing wildly with the bird feeders. A few regular birds appeared and then, as if by magic, a flock of Starlings swooped in to the newly filled feeders and swirled around them demolishing their contents in a few minutes. En masse they left, circled in the sky for a few minutes, then reappeared standing on top of each other, shouting noisily, and fighting for the food. The pantomime was repeated several times, lasting a full 20 minutes, and was observed longingly by birds on a nearby rooftop and delightedly by my camera and by me!
