2021 Saturday — South Bound

It’s time to get back to our place in SoCal for the upcoming holidays, and Mr. Fun also has a surgery scheduled in SoCal near the end of December (minor surgery).

We left our coast house at approximately 6:50 a.m. with the far-fetched hope that we could get thru Los Angeles before the gridlocked traffic. We almost managed that but not quite.

When we reached Ventura, Mr. Fun was ready to get out of the driver’s seat; so I took over and drove us thru mostly stop and go traffic in the San Fernando Valley through Burbank, Glendale, and Pasadena and then on to the outskirts of Pomona where we did a pit stop and changed places again.

Our road time was considerably longer than usual. I kept reminding myself that it is the final Saturday before Christmas. We made it safely to our SoCal place, and we were thankful for that; we were delighted to be off the road.
