Heading home and holidays

A strange sequence of events involving Covid cases came to light during the day so at 2pm we were informed that school would close for the holidays, in anticipation of the scheduled Wed lunchtime. Some of the kids thought the message was a spoof! A bit of a surprise, but happily I have reached the end of my first term in this new job and am certainly ready to start the holiday.
Keeping safe, healthy and happy is what we hope for most this Christmas.
This shot was taken heading home on the cycle track, a few sections of which I cautiously walked. I was in no hurry.
