All but the wee donkey

We’ve had a long day today on the ( almost ) shortest day, going down to meet my two brothers in law and exchange presents etc.
On the way back we stopped in Wilmcote (birthplace of Shakespeare’s mother Mary Arden) to take photos of the nativity tableau which they always have there in the middle of the village at Christmas. I’ve never really studied the life size figures up  close before, and I kind of wish I hadn’t because the lovely old Wise Men and Angel Gabriel are beautifully made from some sort of plaster I suppose. However they must have had Mary stolen at some point and replaced  her with  a polystyrene window mannequin with a nylon wig from Debenhams or somewhere. Absolutely awful! However the rest of it is very charming.
