Remembering Hazel

We would be celebrating Hazels birth/adoption day today. This is our first view of him in Lothian Cat Rescue Centre on October 12th 2006. 

He had been brought in the previous day and clearly was wondering what the dickens was happening to him. In the previous 24 hours he had been faced with a flat full of fighting dogs but was rescued before his 'turn'.

It was not until the 20th December, after his vaccinations, neutering and final health checks, that we were allowed to bring him home. He took a while to settle in, realising that food will come again so he didn't need to gobble every morsel, that the sound of heavy footsteps was no threat, that he could come and go as he pleased. And despite what Bramble thought of him, we loved him to bits.

Yes, we miss him.
