Cockton's Yard

There are many 'Yards' in Cockermouth. This one is really near our cottage. It is still cobbled, and there are a dozen Weaver's cottages on the right hand side of the photo, which have now been renovated.

There is a blue plaque on one of the cottages which states that these cottages, and the yard, were due to be demolished...but thankfully they were saved!
