I hadn’t been in the car since last Tuesday so thought I’d better give it a run. I found the driver’s door slightly ajar and it wouldn’t start. The battery was flat. I’m surprised that no-one knocked and told me about the door. We’ll sort the battery out tomorrow but I was able to take my husband’s car as I wanted a change of scenery.  I parked near Penny Rock and walked through the woods to Grasmere. A dull afternoon but good to be outdoors.
