Billowing steam

The third day in a row of photos of this gorgeous engine. Go back the other two days to read its history.

I stood on a bridge for this photo. I got my shots and moved to the side when it passed under. I didn't want to get covered in soot. The coal was thick, and drivers on the bridge stopped to wait for it to clear.

This is such a fun subject to shoot. If I am out of ideas on weekends, I might just go out and get new angles of 1309.
