Birthday!

Our family makes a habit of having December birthdays and today it was The Son's turn!  We celebrated with a lovely dinner at our local Miller and Carter.  It was beautifully decorated , the food was delicious and the service excellent.  While  we did have a wonderful evening, I couldn't help but feel sorry for the staff as the restaurant was far from being as full as it would have been in pre pandemic times and they must be anxious in case there are more cancellations and worse, orders to close.  A lovely evening but far from 'normal'.
