More Food!
I started the day with a lovely walk, then went to the funeral of a classmate who died very suddenly and peacefully last week . A huge shock for her family- but a wonderful way for her to die. It was interesting to see how the funeral handled those who were vaccinated, and those who weren’t! It was a good farewell for her.
After lunch, we were meant to practice golf, but the wind came up and then the rain came down…so we went to town and did some Christmas shopping. It was very satisfactory.
At 5pm, we went to one of my former work colleagues from Dunedin Hospital days, for dinner, along with another member of our team and her partner. She had prepared a wonderful meal for us. We ate, drank good wine and enjoyed the wonderful preChristmas atmosphere they had created in their home, which was beautifully decorated.
We felt very grateful that we could meet up together- and all very aware of what could be around the corner for us in 2022.
