The reason for the season

Besides making our first batch of mince pies today, I also spent time doing my Advent devotional, and playing Christmas carols on the piano. Unfortunately, Laura wasn’t around to sing along with me. Once again the weather was dull and dismal, so didn’t entice me out for a walk. Roger and Philip went to the gym, but I declined. So another indoor seasonal blip, reminding us of the reason behind all our preparations. In the evening we enjoyed a chat with Jen in Salt Lake City - they received almost a foot of snow mid week, whilst we have been having unseasonably warm temperatures!
