Blowing in the Wind

Many people in Christchurch have sown seed in the vacant lots left after earthquake damaged buildings have been demolished and I was delighted to spot these gorgeous daisies yesterday. They were getting badly bashed around by the nasty southerly, but I managed to capture a few quickly, in between gusts.

I've just bought the lens I used yesterday - a Sigma 35mm f1.4 DG HSM. My camera store had 'lent' it to me, on 25 March, for a trial, and I'd taken the pic of the orange-wrapped tree+sunburst pic - and I've been tempted ever since. I succumbed yesterday!
